Welcome
Under conductor Barry Bleasdale we are a friendly, hardworking and developing band with a growing reputation in east Lancashire. Our players are drawn from a wide area within the county, meeting to rehearse on Friday evenings from 7.15 to 9.30 p.m in Baxenden Methodist Church. Typical concert programmes consist of marches, overtures, military band classics, popular and solo items interlaced with arrangements of music from films and musicals. A leaning towards the traditional military or concert band repertoire has gained us appreciative audiences throughout the area. Many of our current members are seasoned players, but we do welcome younger or less experienced musicians who are keen to join with us in the pleasure of striving to perform worthwhile music.
